Join the 1%+ Movement
Real estate was never just four walls to us. It's habitat, home, and hope — and when someone loses even one of the three, they become placeless. This is our vision for solving it, one percent at a time.
What's missing from the middle
Where all three overlap, that's a place. You don't have to lose everything to become placeless — you only have to lose one. It isn't unique to people, either: animals lose it too, when their habitat disappears or a shelter is their only option.
“I had a house. I had a family who loved me. And I had no hope. One circle missing.”
— Tim Rist, from the TEDx talk “Solving Placelessness”

One percent of your life force
“You cannot be excluded from a percentage.”
The 1%+ pledge isn't a donation — it's a measure of your life force, aimed at someone who needs it. A student and a company can make the same commitment at wildly different scale. What would one percent of your energy look like?
Find an organization to pledge to
Verified nonprofits working on habitat, home, or hope — for people and for animals — across Oregon and the country. Search, filter, and find the one that's already fighting for the cause you care about.
This list is a starting point, verified against each organization's own site — not an endorsement or a guarantee. Do your own diligence (Charity Navigator or GuideStar are good places to start) before making a pledge.
